Epicurean opened as a small, family-owned business in April of 2001 serving the Las Vegas conference, convention and event markets.

Our business grew quickly on a reputation of high-quality and excellent service and we expanded our operation to a state-of-the-art 6500 square foot kitchen facility in 2006. This expansion allows us to produce large-volume, high-quality food products for the largest Las Vegas conventions.

In 2014 we received our USDA Grant of Inspection to process meat and poultry and are currently registered and inspected by the USDA, FDA and local Clark County Health District.

David Friedman

CEO / Chef / Partner

David, a Culinary Institute of America graduate, has over 30 years experience in the hospitality industry and a great passion for leading exceptional companies. Over the years he has served as executive chef, culinary R&D manager, restaurateur and founder of Chicago mini-chain Epic Burger.

Erik Sandoval

Executive Chef / Partner

Originally from Guatemala, Erik has been with our team for over 17 years and has a long family culinary tradition with lifetime expertise in Spanish and South American Cooking. Erik leads by example and always puts quality in the forefront.

Chris Young

Chef De Cuisine / Partner

Chris has served as an executive chef at the Mirage in Las Vegas and has traveled extensively providing his culinary expertise in such venues as the 2002 Olympics, as well as other notable world class events. Chris brings his passion for exceptional food and service to our customers each and every day.

Supreya Voelkening

Founder / Creative Director


Originally from Thailand, Supreya is a Culinary Institute of America graduate with over 30 years experience. Specializing in pastry and garde manger work, her exacting standards and creativity are what has made Epicurean the industry leader in premium, custom made canapes and hors d’oeuvres.

Steven Voelkening

Founder / Innovator


Trained in Europe and at The Culinary Institute of America, Steven brings 40 years of culinary experience to your table. Steven has continually worked to combine the best culinary and manufacturing practices to produce the amazing products that we are known for.
